The grant funded Cheshire and Merseyside In-patient Detox Consortium: new competitive procurement exercise

This has been a very successful project with a national profile, however following the introduction of the NHS Provider Selection Regime (PSR) and a subsequent evaluation of the existing commissioning arrangements by Wirral Council Procurement and Legal colleagues, it is now recommended that a competitive procurement exercise to establish a new framework be completed to move Inpatient Detox (IPD) service providers onto a more robust commissioning regime. IPD services are commissioned by Wirral on behalf of the 9 Cheshire and Merseyside boroughs.

This document sets out that delivery of the Birkenhead 2040 Framework will be supported by more detailed Neighbourhood Frameworks and Masterplans setting out the regeneration objectives and strategies for specific areas.
