The Economy, Infrastructure and Communities Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss a petition to build a pump track in Burntwood, and to review the Joint Archives Service Annual Report. Staffordshire County Council's cabinet met to discuss local government reorganisation, the visitor economy, and funding for local schools. The cabinet reluctantly voted to approve a proposal for local government reorganisation, and also voted to approve funding for an expansion of Thomas Alleynes High School. They also approved the creation of a framework for the appointment of political assistants.

County Council - Thursday 17th July 2025 10:00am

Staffordshire County Council met to discuss highways improvements, the financial outturn for 2024-25, and the adult social care team's recent inspection. The council approved the report of the Independent Remuneration Panel, the Overview and Scrutiny annual report, and a memorandum of understanding regarding health services. They also voted to increase the number of cabinet support members from three to four, adding a role for special educational needs and disability (SEND).

The Staffordshire Council Cabinet met on Wednesday 16 July 2025, receiving updates from cabinet members and approving measures relating to street lighting and waste disposal.
