The Wiltshire Council meeting on 21 October 2025 addressed a range of topics, including the approval of the Our Wiltshire Plan 2025-2035, an update on the council's response to the climate emergency, and discussions on various motions from council members. Northern Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 1 October 2025 3.00 pm

Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board - Wednesday 24 September 2025 6.30 pm

At a meeting of the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board, Councillor Nick Dye resigned as chairman, and Councillor Andrew Matthews was elected as the new chairman. Councillors also approved funding for Cricklade Cinema and 2nd Cricklade Scout Group, and heard updates from the Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire, Philip Wilkinson, and Inspector Scott Anger of Wiltshire Police.

Children's Select Committee - Wednesday 3 September 2025 10.30 am

The Children's Select Committee met to discuss the Safety Valve programme, Ofsted judgements, short breaks for children with additional needs, and the Families First Partnership Programme. The committee expressed concerns about rising EHCPs[^2] and sought ways to assist with the issue. They also agreed to revisit the short breaks offer in 12 months.

Northern Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 3 September 2025 2.00 pm

The Northern Area Planning Committee of Wiltshire Council met on 3 September 2025, and deferred a decision on a reserved matters application for land off James Avenue, Regents Park, Calne due to concerns about drainage. The committee also reviewed several planning appeals and updates.
