Children and Young People's Transport Policy: Outcome of consultation on proposed changes to transport assistance for post-16 learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

...the Executive Board of Leeds approved recommendations to implement a stepped model of transport assistance for eligible post-16 learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including limiting assistance to those living 3 or more miles from their education setting, providing Independent Travel Training, and issuing Personal Transport Allowances, effective from September 2025 with transitional arrangements.
