Cardiff Council Cabinet approved the 2024 Annual Progress Report on 12/12/2024. The report, which includes monitored results from 2023, will be submitted to Welsh Government.

Cardiff Council's Cabinet noted the content of the Corporate Risk Register and the process for managing the Council's Risk Management Strategy on 12 December 2024. The Cabinet reviewed the mid-year update for 2024/25. The Corporate Risk Team will develop a new SharePoint site for interactive risk reporting and review target risk dates for corporate risks.

The Cabinet decided to approve the appointment of a preferred bidder for the Cardiff and Vale Housing Partnership. They also approved the list of development sites to be included in the programme. Authority was delegated to the Corporate Director People & Communities to conclude all necessary matters, including approving final contract wording and entering into the Partnership Agreement.

Cardiff Council's Cabinet approved the Council Tax Base calculation for 2025/26 on 12 December 2024. The Council's tax base was set at 153,582, with specific amounts for six community areas. The Cabinet also approved arrangements for paying precepts to the Police and Crime Commissioner and community councils.
