The Highways and Transport Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the Highways and Transport Performance Report to June 2025, and the outcome of the 18-month Medium Term Financial Strategy Street Lighting Dimming Trial, and agreed to note both reports. Councillors raised concerns about road maintenance, satisfaction with bus services and cycle routes, and the impact of street lighting dimming on crime and road safety.

The Leicestershire County Council Local Pension Board met on Wednesday, 3 September 2025, at County Hall in Glenfield. The agenda for the meeting included the appointment of a vice chair, reviewing the minutes from the previous meeting, updates on pension fund administration and risk management, and the presentation of the board's annual report. The board was also scheduled to consider the Pension Fund Annual Report and Accounts 2024/25.

The Children and Families Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to discuss a range of topics, including the Transforming SEND and Inclusion in Leicestershire Programme, the annual report of the Children's Social Care Statutory Complaints and Compliments, and the Leicestershire and Rutland Safeguarding Children Partnership Yearly Report. Also to be discussed was the performance of the Children and Family Services Department for the first quarter of 2025-26.
