Licensing Sub Committee - Wednesday, 3rd December, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Sub Committee of Cardiff Council was scheduled to meet to consider applications for premises licences and discuss representations received in relation to those applications. Councillor Grace Ferguson-Thorne, Councillors Helen Gunter and Councillor John Lancaster (Leader of the Conservative Group) were the scheduled members of the committee. The committee was to consider applications for Dalton Yard, Deccan Express, Premier Queen Street, and Spar, The Mill.

Council - Thursday, 27th November, 2025 4.30 pm

The Cardiff Council met on 27 November 2025, and approved sending the Replacement Local Development Plan to the Welsh Government for independent examination. Councillors also agreed to launch a public consultation on introducing a visitor levy in the city.

Licensing Committee - Wednesday, 19th November, 2025 10.00 am

The Licensing Committee of Cardiff Council convened on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, to discuss the review of the Statement of Licensing Policy and to approve the minutes from their previous meeting. The main focus of the meeting was scheduled to be the consideration of a new Statement of Licensing Policy, with a view to launching a public consultation.

Environmental Scrutiny Committee - Thursday, 13th November, 2025 4.30 pm

The Environmental Scrutiny Committee met to discuss the adoption of a local heritage list and to review the annual air quality monitoring report. The committee agreed to send their comments and observations on both items to Councillor Dan De'Ath, Cabinet Member for Climate Change, Strategic Planning and Transport.

Council - Thursday, 23rd October, 2025 4.30 pm

The Cardiff Council meeting on 23 October 2025 addressed a range of issues, including the approval of the Local Authority Social Services Annual Report 2024/2025, and the 9th Cardiff Local Development Plan Annual Report. Councillors also discussed the Statement of Accounts 2024/2025, and the Standards and Ethics Annual Report. A key debate emerged around a proposed surcharge for oversized vehicles, framed as an environmental measure but criticised as a regressive tax.
