Children's Select Committee - Wednesday 16 July 2025 10.30 am

The Children's Select Committee met on 16 July 2025, to discuss Ofsted judgements, school attendance, the Schools Forum, the Corporate Parenting Panel, youth homelessness, educational performance, out of county education and the committee's forward work programme. The committee agreed to continue to receive the school Ofsted judgements as a regular report, and also agreed to receive a briefing on the new inspection framework. The committee also agreed to continue to receive the Working Together to Improve School Attendance report, and requested that longer term trends and a separate report on exclusions and trends be included.

Salisbury Area Board - Thursday 3 July 2025 6.00 pm

The Salisbury Area Board met to discuss a range of community issues, including local highway improvements, grant funding allocations, and updates from partner organisations. Councillors approved funding for several local initiatives and discussed ongoing projects aimed at improving the quality of life for residents in the Salisbury area.

Southern Area Planning Committee - Thursday 12 June 2025 3.00 pm

The Southern Area Planning Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss planning appeals and a planning application for alterations to The Cathedral Hotel in Salisbury. The committee was also expected to receive updates on planning appeals and consider any urgent items.

Children's Select Committee - Wednesday 11 June 2025 10.30 am

The Children's Select Committee met to elect a chairman and vice-chairman, and to discuss the committee's work programme. Councillor Laura Mayes was elected chairman, and Councillor Denise Bates was elected vice-chairman. The committee agreed to develop a work programme over time, and to hold a rapid scrutiny meeting regarding short breaks for children and young people with additional needs.

Extraordinary - On the rising of Full Council, not before 11am, Salisbury Area Board - Tuesday 20 May 2025 11.00 am

The Salisbury Area Board met to elect a chair and vice-chair, and to appoint a representative to the Local Highways and Footpath Improvement Group (LHFIG). Councillor Paul Sample JP was elected as Chairman and Councillor Ricky Rogers was elected as Vice Chairman. Councillor Brian Dalton was appointed as the lead member for the LHFIG for 2025/26.
