Children's Select Committee - Wednesday 16 July 2025 10.30 am
The Children's Select Committee met on 16 July 2025, to discuss Ofsted judgements, school attendance, the Schools Forum, the Corporate Parenting Panel, youth homelessness, educational performance, out of county education and the committee's forward work programme. The committee agreed to continue to receive the school Ofsted judgements as a regular report, and also agreed to receive a briefing on the new inspection framework. The committee also agreed to continue to receive the Working Together to Improve School Attendance report, and requested that longer term trends and a separate report on exclusions and trends be included.
Cabinet - Tuesday 8 July 2025 10.00 am
The Wiltshire Council Cabinet met on 8 July 2025, and approved a new bat mitigation strategy for Trowbridge and Westbury, and discussed the outline of the new council plan. They also discussed the disposal of council assets and a new traffic signal maintenance contract.
Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel - Thursday 26 June 2025 10.30 am
The Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel met to discuss a range of issues, including the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, an update from Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson, OBE, MPhil, and a report on the Police and Crime Plan. The panel was also scheduled to receive a presentation on road safety.
Trowbridge Area Board - Thursday 26 June 2025 6.30 pm
The Trowbridge Area Board met to discuss community grants, appointments to outside bodies and updates from partners including Wiltshire Police and the Family Hub Wiltshire Council. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and Wiltshire Council framework, and the Local Highways and Footway Improvement Group.
Extraordinary, Cabinet - Tuesday 24 June 2025 10.00 am
At a meeting of the Wiltshire Council cabinet, those present discussed the revenue and capital outturn positions for the financial year 2024-25, as well as the treasury management outturn position. The cabinet approved transfers to and from earmarked reserves, the creation of new earmarked reserves, and a revenue contribution to capital for works related to Salisbury City Hall. They also noted the general fund outturn position, savings delivery, and overspends in the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) and Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG).

Council Tax Long-Term Empty Homes Premium
