Resources and Corporate Performance Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 13th January, 2026 6.30 pm

The Resources and Corporate Performance Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to discuss proposals for the Council Tax Support scheme for 2026/27, including an update to include a discount class for terminally ill residents experiencing financial difficulty. The committee was also set to review the Housing Ombudsman's Annual Complaint Handling and Service Improvement Report for 2024-25, alongside Camden's self-assessment against the Complaint Handling Code. Further items on the agenda included an update on the Council's Medium Term Financial Strategy, the Annual Report of the Cabinet Member for Finance and Cost of Living, and the committee's work programme for 2025/26.

The Camden Council meeting on 17 November 2025 will include a themed debate on child poverty, a discussion of the Euston Area Plan, and consideration of several motions. There will also be a deputation from UNISON regarding school support staff.

The Audit and Corporate Governance (Appointment Panel) Sub-Committee met to discuss the appointment of a new Executive Director Homes and Communities. The Sub-Committee was scheduled to note the appointment process, job details and progress made to date, interview candidates, and potentially recommend a candidate for the role. Councillors were asked to consider advice within the Executive Director Homes and Communities Final Member Panel Report and could seek further advice during the meeting.
