Budget and Council Tax Setting Meeting, Council Assembly - Wednesday 25 February 2026 7.00 pm

The Education and Local Economy Scrutiny Commission met to discuss the Southwark Safeguarding Children Partnership (SSCP) annual report for 2024/25, the Connect to Work programme, and to interview Councillor Jasmine Ali, Cabinet Member for Children, Education and Refugees. The commission also reviewed the work programme for 2025-2026.

Ordinary meeting, Council Assembly - Wednesday 12 November 2025 7.00 pm

Southwark Council Assembly met to discuss resident's rights, ethical investments, and local funding, among other items. The council approved changes to its committee structure and investment strategy, and reappointed an independent advisor. Motions were passed regarding fairer funding, ethical investments, improvements to Peckham Rye Station, and Thames Water.

Corporate Parenting Committee - Wednesday 22 October 2025 2.00 pm

The Corporate Parenting Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss several reports and strategies relating to children in care, including the annual virtual head teacher's report, the fostering annual report, and an update on the corporate parenting strategy. They were also scheduled to discuss a report on substance misuse among children in care, and an update on the employability pathway for care leavers.
