The Council voted to note a report about an increase to Councillor allowances for information and approved a motion celebrating the Council's success in supporting social workers. The Council also voted against motions to exempt or compensate charities for the rise in Employer National Insurance Contributions, and to condemn the Council for failing to take action to end the protest on Riverside Walk in Nine Elms. The Council voted to accept a Conservative amendment to a Labour motion on compassion at Christmas.

The Committee noted a report on homelessness and health needs in Wandsworth, approved the recommissioning of extra care services at Chestnut House and Ensham House, and agreed that Wandsworth should continue to participate in the London sexual health and contraception e-service. The Committee also noted reports on health and care integration and complaints received by adult social care during 2023-24, and received an update on the quarter two budget monitoring for 2024-25.

The Richmond and Wandsworth Joint Staffing Committee met to discuss the proposed appointment of a new Chief Executive. This item was considered in private and members of the press and public were excluded from the meeting while it was discussed.

This meeting was scheduled to receive updates from the Council's internal and external auditors about their work and to consider the effectiveness of the Council's Anti-Bribery and Money Laundering Prevention measures. It was also scheduled to review the effectiveness of the Audit Committee and to consider the new Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS).
