The Hackney Council Planning Sub-Committee met on 8 October 2025, to discuss several planning applications, including a large development at the Shoreditch Island Site, the construction of new residential dwellings on the Nye Bevan Estate, and the change of use of existing properties to children's homes at 38 Firsby Road and 15 Triangle Road. The sub-committee approved the minutes from the previous meeting, and also approved all of the planning applications that were discussed, with the exception of the application for 9 Clifden Road, which was deferred.

These include applications for a new premises licence, and to vary an existing premises licence, as well as a standing item on temporary event notices. The meeting will also cover procedural matters such as the election of a chair and review of the minutes from the previous meeting.

The agenda included a new premises licence application, a request to vary an existing premises licence and a personal licence application. Councillor Richard Lufkin, Councillor Lynne Troughton and Councillor Gilbert Smyth were scheduled to be in attendance.

The Hackney Procurement Board met on 9 September 2025, and approved the commencement of a competitive tender process for two frameworks for substance misuse services, one for healthcare-related services and one for non-healthcare services. The board also approved the minutes from the previous meeting held on 8 July 2025.

Licensing Sub Committee B - Monday 1 September 2025 7.00 pm

The Licensing Sub-Committee B of Hackney Council convened to address a premises licence variation application for EartH, and to consider a standing item regarding temporary event notices. The sub-committee approved both the recommendations for the temporary event notices and the application to vary a premises licence for EartH.
