The Council meeting on Monday 2 March 2026 saw the approval of the 2026-2029 Medium-Term Financial Plan and the 2026-27 Budget, which includes a 4.99% increase in Council Tax. The meeting also included a vote of thanks to the outgoing Mayor, Councillor Louise Phelan, and to retiring councillors.

North Cheam, Stonecot and Worcester Park Local Committee - Tuesday, 3rd February, 2026 7.00 pm

The North Cheam, Stonecot and Worcester Park Local Committee was scheduled to consider local funding opportunities and receive updates on various community initiatives. The meeting also included a community showcase and an opportunity for public questions.

Council - Monday, 26th January, 2026 7.00 pm

The Council meeting on 26 January 2026 addressed several key issues, including financial governance of major projects, efforts to tackle bowel cancer, plans for job creation and affordable housing, and the retention of the council's committee system. A significant debate also took place regarding the future of the Beddington Energy Recovery Facility.

Planning Committee - Wednesday, 3rd December, 2025 7.00 pm

At a meeting of Sutton Council's planning committee on 3 December 2025, councillors considered a range of planning applications, including proposed amendments to the Elm Grove Estate development, a reserved matters application for the same site, a change of use for a property on Surrey Grove, and a change of use for a former pub on Woodcote Road. Councillors approved the Elm Grove Estate amendments and the reserved matters application, and also approved the erection of a new industrial building on Restmor Way. Councillors refused the change of use application for Surrey Grove.
