Extraordinary, Cabinet - Tuesday 24 June 2025 10.00 am

At a meeting of the Wiltshire Council cabinet, those present discussed the revenue and capital outturn positions for the financial year 2024-25, as well as the treasury management outturn position. School Transport Appeal - BF, Appeals Sub-Committee (School Transport) - Wednesday 18 June 2025 2.30 pm

The Wiltshire Council Appeals Sub-Committee (School Transport) met on 18 June 2025 to consider a school transport appeal. The panel upheld the original decision that there was no obligation to provide free transport to Lavington School, but agreed to provide a space in an existing taxi from Westbury Leigh to Lavington School, due to the exceptional circumstances raised by the appellant.

Corsham Area Board - Thursday 12 June 2025 7.00 pm

The Corsham Area Board was scheduled to meet to discuss community grants, appointments to outside bodies and updates from partners including Wiltshire Police. The board was also expected to watch a video about the Shared Lives Wiltshire scheme.

Children's Select Committee - Wednesday 11 June 2025 10.30 am

The Children's Select Committee met to elect a chairman and vice-chairman, and to discuss the committee's work programme. Councillor Laura Mayes was elected chairman, and Councillor Denise Bates was elected vice-chairman. The committee agreed to develop a work programme over time, and to hold a rapid scrutiny meeting regarding short breaks for children and young people with additional needs.
