This meeting was scheduled to focus on the Camden Council Housing Revenue Account (HRA), service standards, participation, and an update on existing and future bids from Tenant and Resident Associations (TRAs). The meeting also included a number of information reports on a range of housing issues including heat metering, procurement, domestic abuse and neighbourhood working.

The Holborn District Management Committee (DMC) met to discuss the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) budget for 2025/26 and to vote on recommendations regarding rent and service charges. The committee did not support the proposed rent increase or increases to tenant service charges for caretaking and CCTV, and grounds maintenance, but did support the proposed freeze to communal lighting charges, the increase to communal mechanical and electrical (M&E) maintenance charges, the increase to the responsive housing patrol charge, and the reduction in heating pool charges. The committee also raised concerns about preventative maintenance, leaseholder charges, and government support for housing.

Leaseholders' Forum - Wednesday, 18th September, 2024 7.00 pm

The Leaseholders Forum noted the poor results of a recent satisfaction survey and the draft Action Plan drawn up in response to the recommendations of the Cabinet Adviser for Improving Services to Leaseholders, Councillor James Slater. The meeting also received reports from its Repairs and Major Works Working Groups.

The District Management Committee (DMC) received an update from the Cabinet Member for Better Homes, noted the work being done to plan the Resident Action Day, and were informed about the latest performance figures for Camden's Housing and Property department. The committee asked for more information about the future of the Council's planned maintenance programme and heating charges for residents.
