Ordinary meeting, Council Assembly - Wednesday 12 November 2025 7.00 pm
Southwark Council Assembly met to discuss resident's rights, ethical investments, and local funding, among other items. The council approved changes to its committee structure and investment strategy, and reappointed an independent advisor. Motions were passed regarding fairer funding, ethical investments, improvements to Peckham Rye Station, and Thames Water.

The Southwark Council cabinet met on 14 October 2025, and agreed to dispose of land for a new care home, adopt a climate and environment supplementary planning document, consult on changes to the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) for student housing, authorise the letting of underground garage space, and award a contract for integrated sexual and reproductive health services.

At a meeting of the Southwark Council Assembly, Councillor Sarah King was elected as the new Leader of the Council, and the cabinet will remain unchanged at present. Councillors debated a motion on community safety, and also discussed motions relating to welfare cuts, making space for girls in parks, a tourist tax, and limiting gambling premises. The assembly also approved a waiver for Councillor Maggie Browning's attendance due to maternity leave, and reviewed the Treasury Management Outturn report for 2024-25.
Cabinet - Monday 7 July 2025 3.00 pm
The Southwark Council cabinet met on 7 July 2025, approving a new good landlord plan, an affordable workspace strategy, and several planning documents. The cabinet also approved the award of a contract for violence against women and girls (VAWG) support services to the Bede House Association. Councillor Kieron Williams, Leader of the Council, noted that this was his last cabinet meeting as leader.
