Overview & Scrutiny Committee - Tuesday, 15th July, 2025 6.30 pm

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's Overview and Scrutiny Committee met to discuss council performance, finances, and future work plans. Councillors reviewed the Corporate Performance and Council Action Plan Delivery Report, the Final Outturn Revenue and Capital Monitoring Report, and the Forward Plan and Key Decision Tracker. They also discussed and agreed to a work programme for the coming year.

Investment Committee - Monday, 7th July, 2025 6.30 pm

The Investment Committee for Kensington and Chelsea Council were scheduled to meet on 7 July 2025 to discuss a range of topics related to the council's pension fund, including investment performance, asset allocation, and compliance with new regulations. The meeting was also scheduled to cover the fund's business plan and specific investment updates.

Family Services Select Committee - Thursday, 3rd July, 2025 6.30 pm

The Family Services Select Committee were scheduled to discuss the Bi-Borough Children and Young People's Plan, and to confirm their work programme for the coming year. The meeting was also scheduled to include a 72 seconds' silence to remember those who lost their lives in the Grenfell tragedy[^1].

Full Council - Wednesday, 25th June, 2025 6.30 pm

The Kensington and Chelsea Full Council met to discuss a range of issues, including community safety, the impact of national insurance contributions, and step-free access at South Kensington station. The council agreed to note reports on urgent decisions and community safety, and also agreed to request that the Lead Member for Finance investigate the implications of changes to National Insurance Contributions (NICs) and make a written submission to the government.

Schools' Forum - Monday, 16th June, 2025 5.00 pm

The Kensington and Chelsea Schools Forum met to discuss Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) funding, school balances, and recommendations from the High Needs Budget Review Group (HNBRG). The forum agreed to a top-up increase for Kensington Queensmill (OKQ) school, noted concerns about funding for St Charles' Sixth Form College, and agreed to the methodology for redistributing excessive school balances. They also agreed to options for consulting on the 2026/27 school funding formula.
