Cabinet Procurement and Insourcing Committee - Monday 6 October 2025 2.00 pm

The Cabinet Procurement and Insourcing Committee met on 6 October 2025, and approved the procurement of Google Workspace licences, planned internal and external works, communal works, and void works. The committee also noted the minutes of the Hackney Procurement Board meeting held on 8 July 2025, and approved the minutes of the Cabinet Procurement and Insourcing Committee held on 1 September 2025.

Pensions Committee - Tuesday 23 September 2025 6.30 pm

The Hackney Council Pensions Committee convened to discuss several key items, including the approval of the Funding Strategy Statement and associated policies, updates on the migration of pension administration services, and the review of the 2024/25 Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Report. The committee also reviewed the Quarterly Business Plan and Governance, and received updates on investment performance and responsible investment activities. All recommendations put before the committee were approved.

The Hackney Council Cabinet met on 22 September 2025, and among the decisions made, they approved a new Tenancy Management Housing Policy, adopted the Hackney Ways of Working proposals, and approved a series of capital projects, including improvements to Morningside School and Hackney Town Hall. They also discussed the council's overall financial position, with a reported overspend of £9.787m.

Council - Wednesday 17 September 2025 7.00 pm

The Hackney Council meeting on 17 September 2025 included discussion of climate change initiatives, scrutiny reports, and a motion regarding the two-child benefit cap, which was ultimately rejected. Skills, Economy and Growth Scrutiny Commission - Thursday 11 September 2025 7.00 pm

The Skills, Economy and Growth Scrutiny Commission met to discuss cabinet member achievements, the automation of parking appeals, and the commission's work programme. Councillors agreed to a new business-focused item for January and discussed the timing of a transport strategy review.
