Planning and Regulatory Committee - Tuesday, 1st July, 2025 10.00 am

The Planning and Regulatory Committee met to discuss a planning application for sand and gravel extraction at Ripple East, Worcestershire. The committee approved the application, which includes restoration to agriculture and nature conservation, after considering concerns about dust, health impacts, and the loss of agricultural land. The approval is subject to conditions and a Section 106 agreement[^1] for an extended aftercare period.

Waste Credit Governance Committee - Friday, 20th June, 2025 9.30 am

The Waste Credit Governance Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss the financial reporting from the Energy from Waste Plant, the risk register, and the committee's work plan. The committee was also scheduled to note an update on the contract extension with Mercia Waste Management (MWM).

Pension Board - Thursday, 19th June, 2025 10.00 am

The Worcestershire Pension Board met to review a number of reports, including the business plan, risk register, governance and compliance update, training update, and the UK Stewardship Code submission. Due to the meeting being inquorate, the board was unable to vote on any of the recommendations, and could only note the reports.

Council - Thursday, 22nd May, 2025 10.00 am

Worcestershire County Council met to elect a new chair and vice-chair, appoint a leader of the council, and discuss political structures and committee appointments. Councillor Louis Stephen was elected as the new Chair of the Council, and Councillor Paul Bennett was appointed as Vice-Chair. The council also agreed to permit hospital overspill parking at County Hall and install more Beryl Bike bays.
