Cabinet - Monday 25 November 2024 6.00 pm
The Cabinet noted the minutes of the previous meetings and approved two new capital schemes totalling £659k to improve the Council's IT systems. The Cabinet also approved a new lease for Zer Cafe in Goodchild Road, and approved the sale of the vacant office building at 17 Sylvester Road.

Living in Hackney Scrutiny Commission - Monday 18 November 2024 7.00 pm
The meeting was scheduled to include presentations from external partners on the North London Waste Authority’s new Joint Waste Strategy 2025-40 and a review by Hackney Council officers of the recent changes to the Council’s waste and recycling collections. The agenda also included updates on work arising from previous scrutiny reviews.
Corporate Committee - Wednesday 13 November 2024 6.30 pm
This meeting of the Corporate Committee was scheduled to include a presentation of data on the gender and ethnicity pay gap in Hackney Council, as well as the proposed fees and charges for markets, street trading and shop fronts for 2025/26. The committee was also scheduled to consider the minutes of its previous meeting.
Planning Sub-Committee - Wednesday 6 November 2024 6.30 pm
The committee approved three planning applications. A development at Harvest House on Leeside Road was approved, with an increase in the height of the building on the side facing the road to seven storeys, from the six storeys of the approved, but not yet built, scheme. A mixed use scheme at 1 Vince Street and 229-233a Old Street was also approved, which would see the demolition of all the existing buildings on the site, and their replacement with a fourteen storey office block. Finally, the committee approved plans for the replacement of a boundary wall and the installation of a bike and bin store in the front garden of 31 Lockhurst Street.
