Planning Applications Committee - Tuesday 18 March 2025 7.00 pm
The committee voted to approve all four planning applications that were presented to them. This included approval for the change of use of a derelict stable block in Ruskin Park to a cafe, the redevelopment of Walker House in Vauxhall, permission to run the annual Between the Bridges event at Hungerford Coach Park on the South Bank, and the extension of a Holiday Inn Express on South Lambeth Road.

The meeting approved the Revenue and Capital Budget 2025/26, the External Auditor Recommendations and the Pay Policy Statement 2025/26. Both the Green and Liberal Democrat groups presented alternative budgets that were not carried.

The committee voted unanimously to approve planning permission and listed building consent for the change of use of the former public conveniences at 180 Kennington Lane to a retail unit to be used by a florist. The approval was subject to conditions, including the submission of a delivery and servicing plan, a construction management plan, and the completion of a Section 106 agreement requiring the development to be business permit free. An informative was added to the application to encourage the applicant to pay staff the Lambeth Living Wage.
Pensions Committee - Wednesday 29 January 2025 6.30 pm
The committee noted the Pension Fund's accounts for the last quarter and agreed to the publication of the draft annual report for 2023/24. The committee also discussed their training needs and how best to structure training in the future, ahead of the upcoming triennial valuation of the Pension Fund and the development of a new investment strategy.
