The meeting approved the council’s budget for 2025-26 and appointed an interim chief executive. It also discussed the Council Tax Support Scheme and a petition presented by a Councillor asking the council to rethink its policy of dimming streetlights.

This meeting was to consider a number of issues relating to the Lampton Group of companies owned by the council. In particular, the meeting was to consider the appointment of Robin Porter as a Director of Lampton 360 Ltd and as Chair of the Lampton Group Board. The meeting was also to receive an update on the company's recent financial performance and to consider the company's business plan for 2025/26.

The meeting approved a 4.99% rise in council tax and a range of savings across all departments, including changes to the Council Tax Support Scheme, in order to enable the Council to deliver a balanced budget for the coming financial year. It also approved plans to acquire Park Road Allotments, Isleworth, the adoption of a new Local Heritage List, and a £11m bid for grant funding to support the development of a new Heat Network in Isleworth and Brentford.

The Cabinet agreed the construction of a new six-bed short break unit and six-bed children’s residential home at Vicarage Farm Road. They also approved an increase to council housing rents of 2.7%, agreed a plan for delivering the Climate Emergency Action Plan, and approved a grant allocation of £325,000 to Citizens Advice Hounslow.

The Shareholder Committee meeting on 19 December 2024 was the sixth biannual meeting of the committee since its inception in November 2023. It was scheduled to receive a report on the performance of the wholly-owned companies of Hounslow Council at the end of the last financial year, and at the end of Quarter 2 of the 2024/25 financial year. It was also scheduled to be asked to approve new appointments to the board of Lampton 360, the holding company for Hounslow's companies, as well as the re-appointment of its external auditors.
