...to note the Quarter 2 Corporate Risk Management Report for 2025/26, which provided an update on significant strategic risks to achieving the Council's objectives related to children and young people and summarised progress in managing those risks, including the risks of safeguarding vulnerable children and the Dedicated Schools Grant not being extended beyond March 2028.

...to recommission a contract or contracts for therapeutic providers to deliver therapeutic support to children under Special Guardianship Orders, using the Patient Choice route to market, and to authorise the Executive Director for Children and Education to procure and award the contract(s) for 3 + 1 years.

...to approve the delivery of a capital project providing 30 new school places at Henbury Court Academy, authorize spending £1.178m for its refurbishment, approve expanding the St Anne's project to include roof works with an additional £2m allocation, and authorize spending the funding for the St Anne's project.

...to note the Period 2 Finance Outturn Report 2025/26, which was presented to the Strategy and Resources Policy Committee on 14 July 2025.

...to address concerns about social media use, they approved commissioning an independent investigation, with the Executive Director for Children and Education delegated the authority to identify a qualified reviewer and define the investigation's scope in consultation with committee members, the Parent Carer Forum, and other key stakeholders, using terms of reference submitted by Cllr Bailes.
