Council Tax Setting Committee - Thursday, 26th February, 2026 5.00 pm

The meeting was adjourned on the first day due to the Greater London Authority (GLA) precept not having been confirmed. Upon reconvening, the committee approved the total Council Tax for 2026-27, which includes an increase in both the Croydon element and the GLA precept.

Budget Council, Council - Wednesday, 25th February, 2026 6.30 pm

The Croydon Council meeting on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, focused heavily on the approval of the Council's budget for 2026-27 and the associated Council Tax increase. The council voted to support fair funding for Croydon and approved the appointment of Elaine Jackson as Interim Chief Executive. Appointments & Disciplinary Committee - Monday, 1st December, 2025 2.30 pm, NEW

The Appointments & Disciplinary Committee agreed to recommend that Croydon Council appoint Elaine Jackson as Interim Chief Executive for a 12-month period, from 10 December 2025 to 9 December 2026. The committee heard that informal consultation with the Executive, Commissioners, and Opposition had been undertaken, and that all supported the recommendation. The recommended option also presented the overall best cost option.

Planning Committee - Thursday, 6th November, 2025 6.30 pm

The Croydon Council Planning Committee convened to discuss planning applications, ultimately approving one and refusing another. The committee granted permission for the erection of a two-storey development comprising five flats at 233 Hayes Lane in Kenley, and refused permission for a new dwelling at 1 Blenheim Crescent in South Croydon.
