The Environment and Sustainable Transport Committee of Sutton Council was scheduled to review service performance, consider the council's first biodiversity duty report, and discuss a proposed change to the leisure services operating model. The committee was also due to consider the appointment of a supplier for a library management system.

Budget Council, Council - Monday, 2nd March, 2026 7.00 pm

The Council meeting on Monday 2 March 2026 saw the approval of the 2026-2029 Medium-Term Financial Plan and the 2026-27 Budget, which includes a 4.99% increase in Council Tax. The meeting also included a vote of thanks to the outgoing Mayor, Councillor Louise Phelan, and to retiring councillors.

Sutton South, Cheam and Belmont Local Committee - Thursday, 5th February, 2026 7.00 pm

The Sutton South, Cheam and Belmont Local Committee was scheduled to discuss plans for Sutton Town Centre and receive updates on local funding. The committee was also set to hear from community groups about their volunteer activities.

Planning Committee - Wednesday, 4th February, 2026 7.00 pm

The Planning Committee of Sutton Council met on Wednesday 4 February 2026 to discuss several planning applications. The committee granted planning permission for a single-storey rear extension at 11 Overhill Road, Sutton, and approved amendments to an existing planning permission for 1 Wildes Cottages, Ewell Road, Cheam, to allow for an internal garage and other alterations. The committee also granted planning permission for the significant London Cancer Hub development on Cotswold Road, a hybrid application seeking detailed permission for Phase 1 and outline permission for future phases.
