The Family and Children's Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee met on Thursday, 8 January 2026, to review reports on the education of post-16 residents, cared-for children, and care leavers, as well as progress on the installation of sprinkler systems in schools. The Cramlington, Bedlington & Seaton Valley Community Partnership were scheduled to meet to discuss updates on the Concordia Leisure Centre, the Community Chest, and the Bedlington Town Centre regeneration. Councillors were also expected to nominate an appointee to the Beaconhill Community Association. Additionally, the Partnership was scheduled to discuss the Destination Management Plan.

The Family and Children's Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee were scheduled to meet to discuss the Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) strategy, and to review progress on care proceedings and public law outlines. The committee was also scheduled to review decisions taken by the cabinet, and the committee's work programme.

County Council - Wednesday, 5th November, 2025 2.00 pm

The agenda for Northumberland County Council's meeting on 5 November 2025 included discussion of the Berwick Maltings Theatre project, annual reports from several cabinet members, an annual report from the Audit Committee, an interim report from the Family and Children's Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee, and a review of polling districts and polling places. Councillors were also scheduled to discuss political proportionality on the council and proposed updates to the constitution.
