The
Leader AGREED:
That
the Director of Commercial Property and Regeneration in
consultation with the Cabinet Member for Accessible Housing and
Resources is:
i.
Authorised to agree a renewal of a new 1 year
lease at Friars Square in accordance with the Heads of Terms
contained in the confidential appendices, and
ii.
Finalise Heads of Terms, agree lease, exchange
and complete in accordance with the emerging Heads of Terms
contained in the confidential appendices on the same terms as the
existing 2 year lease deal.
This decision is being made
under Special Urgency provisions of the constitution. The renewal
of the lease is critical to enable the Council to enter into a
contract by the end of December, ensuring continuity and avoiding
potential disruptions.
