Decision: Approved

 

[3.1] To impose temporary road closure on Various Roads,
Nether Compton & Bradford Abbas as listed: [i]
Marl Lane, Over Compton at junction with A30; [ii] Old Compton Lane, Bradford
Abbas at junction with A30; [iii] A30 beween Babylon
Hill Roundabout to Sheeplands Lane (in both
directions) an overnight road closure between 21:00 until 06:00 may be required
to facilitate construction and will be indicated by signs on site if required.

 

[3.2] To prohibit right turn, U-turn, and straight-over
movements for vehicles entering or exiting Marl Lane and Old Compton Lane at
the junction with A30.

 

[3.3] To introduce a temporary 30mph speed limit on A30 beween Babylon Hill Roundabout to Sheeplands
Lane (in both directions). This may be required to facilitate construction and
will be indicated by signs on site if required. 22nd September 2025 until 10th
October 2025. The order will enable Dorset Council to undertake highway
improvement works at Loscombe Crossroads to reduce
risks to the public.

Reasons for the decision

Notice under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations
Act 1984 as amended.

 

b. because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of
serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works
