Purpose

To seek Cabinet Member ratification of the decision to exercise the option to extend the term of the council’s contract for the provision of Parking Operational Services.

Decision

In coming to this decision I have given due and full regard to the requirements of the public sector equality duty contained in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”) by reference to the law itself.

Having fully considered all the available information, I have decided to reject the alternative options and take the recommended decision to: 

Ratify a decision taken by the Executive Director of Economy, Environment & Infrastructure to exercise a 3-year extension option under council’s contract with NSL Ltd. for the provision of Parking Operational Services on the expiry of the initial 5-year term on 31 March 2025.
