Waste Contract Management Group

Delegated powers received from Full Council on 17 Sep 2013.   Resolved: 1          That Councillors M Nelhams, S Sims, A S Guy, C R Thomas, G O’Neill, R I McCarthy be appointed to the Waste Contract Management Group with immediate effect.   2          That the Waste Contract Management Group be granted delegated powers to act within Standing Orders and Financial Regulations in allocating spending in relation to waste contracts on the budget provided by the DEFRA grant funding in the current and 2014/15 financial years.   3          That the Waste Contract Management Group has delegated authority to make decisions within Standing Orders and Financial Regulations in regard to authorising or making variations to, or amending contracts, within the scope of the DEFRA grant funding that is delegated to its charge; where contracts or variations or amendments have additional costs or consequences beyond original budgets these must be referred to the General Purposes Committee or the Policy and Resources Committee.   4          That the Waste Contract Management Group be set-up as a sub-committee of the General Purposes Committee and that it reports any actions back to that Committee, and that General Purposes be responsible for Membership of the group.   5          That the quoracy of the group be set by Council at three Members.
