Audit and Risk Committee

Audit and Risk Committee provides independent review of the council’s governance, risk management and control frameworks and oversees the financial reporting and annual governance processes. It oversees internal audit and external audit, helping to ensure efficient and effective assurance arrangements are in place.

 

Independent Members: Local authorities must appoint at least one ‘independent member’ to their Audit Committee. The Council appointed Pardeep Bhatti as an Independent Member for a four year term of office on 15 May 2025.
