Grievance Committee

The committee is a requirement of the Local Authorities (Standing Orders) (England) Regulations 2001 (as amended by the Local Authorities (Standing Orders) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2015). The committee’s duties relate to the Chief Executive. The committee will hear both grievances brought against the Chief Executive and grievances brought by them. Grievances brought by the Chief Executive will be against an individual elected member or members of the employing council generally.
