Planning Committee

The Planning Committee is the Committee of the Council that has responsibility for determining planning applications, planning and building control enforcement and issues relating to tree preservation orders. Members of the Council can ask for planning applications being dealt with at officer level to be referred to the Committee for determination.   The Planning Committee was established on 1 January 2010. Prior to this planning applications were considered by the following Committees:

Development Control Committee – May 2004 – December 2009 Area Development Control East Committee – up to April 2004 Area Development Control West Committee – up to April 2004
