A schools forum is a statutory body
established by each local authority in England under the Education
Act 2002. Its primary purpose is to act as a consultative and
decision-making body on matters related to school funding. Forums
are composed of representatives from maintained schools, academies,
early years providers, diocesan authorities, and trade unions,
among others.
