The Scrutiny Committee is responsible for the overview and scrutiny of the following Cabinet portfolios:

Communities, Culture and Public Protection

Parks, Highways & Transport Services
The Scrutiny Committee is also responsible for monitoring the activities of and liaising with relevant external and partnership organisations operating in Stockport to ensure that the interests of local people are enhanced by collaborative working.
Prior to May 2017 the responsibilities of this Scrutiny Committee were discharged by the
Environment & Economy Scrutiny Committee and the Adult Care Services & Housing Scrutiny Committee (relating to Housing). Copies of agenda papers and Minutes remain available on the website.
