Standards and Audit Committee

The purpose of the Standards and Audit Committee is to provide independent monitoring of the adequacy of the risk management framework, as well as independent scrutiny of the authority's financial and non-financial performance. The Committee also oversees the financial reporting process. The Committee is also charged with promoting and maintaining high standards of conduct by Members and Co-Opted Members of the Council. This meeting is open to the public, although in considering some items of business, the press and public may be requested to leave the meeting.
