Following the review and final recommendations
of the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE)
Review, the local elections in May 2024 saw a reduction in the
number of Tunbridge Wells Borough Council Councillors from 48 to 39
Members, and the number of Wards reduced from 20 to 14.
A decision was made to reduce the number of
Cabinet Advisory Boards from three to two. From 1 May 2024, the work of the Planning and
Transportation Cabinet Advisory Board would be undertaken by the
new Communities, Housing and Environment Cabinet Advisory
Board.
