Cabinet makes decisions which are in line with the Council’s overall policies and Budget. It is chaired by the Mayor and includes their appointed Portfolio Holders. Cabinet may sometimes be required to make decisions based on “Part B” reports which are classified as confidential in accordance with the terms of the Local Government Act Section 100 (1) Schedule 12A. The public and press are excluded from those parts of the meetings in which Part B reports are discussed and if present prior to the start of the item, will be requested to leave.
