Content: Cllr Dave Norman sought Cabinet approval following public and internal stakeholder consultationto implement changes to the configuration of the Fire and Rescue Service to meet the priorities of the Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) 2022-2026. Having considered all of the information, Cabinet noted the report and RESOLVED to: Subject to the Council setting aside funding within the 2025-2026 Budget for the following proposed changes to the Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service, to approve the: 1. Introduction of a new day shift staff model at Cinderford community fire station increasing the service establishment by 14 new full-time posts as set out on page 11, including upgrades to the Cinderford fire station or alternative location identified through GCC. 2. Changes to the Wholetime working shifts from 9-hour days and 15- hour nights to 11-hour days and 13-hour nights for the Wholetime Community Fire stations as recommended on page 14 That the Chief Fire Officer, in consultation with the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Fire, Community Safety and Libraries, shall review the impact of the change in whole-time shift patterns within 6 months of its implementation in order to understand the impact, particularly on those who share a protected characteristic and if necessary make reasonable adjustments.
