Based on this, the option recommended is: ·      Extend the current contract for 12 months at the current contract value of £200,000 funded through the Adult and Children’s pooled budget (Helping Families), aligned with Salford’s new Family Help model.   Assessment of Risk: If the contract is not extended there may be reduced capacity to work with children, young people and their families who need ‘more help’ to enable them to thrive.   The source of funding is: Children and Families Grant to the value of £200,000 per annum.   Legal Advice obtained: Yes – supplied by The Shared Legal Service (Darren Comerford)   Financial Advice obtained: Yes – supplied by Beth Mitchell, Senior Accountant, Children’s Services   Procurement Advice obtained: Yes - supplied by the Corporate Procurement Team (Carolyne Knott)   HR Advice obtained: Not applicable.   Climate Change Implications obtained: Not applicable.   The following documents have been used to assist the decision process: ·      ‘Report to Procurement Board for Approval to extend the Family Keyworker Service Contract for 12 months in line with provision included in  the original contract award’.   Contact Officer: Katie Kelleher, Service Manager, Helping Families katie.kelleher@salford.gov.uk Rebecca Bibby, Director Early Help and School Readiness rebecca.bibby@salford.gov.uk   This matter is also subject to consider by the Lead Member for Children and Young People’s Services.
