Purpose: To seek approval to procure and award a contract for the provision of a suicide bereavement support service, for residents of Gloucestershire.
Content: Cllr Paul Hodgkinson sought Cabinet approval to procure and award a contract for the provision of a suicide bereavement support service, for residents of Gloucestershire. Having considered all of the information, Cabinet noted the report and RESOLVED to: Delegate authority to the Director of Public Health, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Public Health, Communities & Fire to: 1. Enter into a Section 256 agreement between the Council and NHS Gloucestershire ICB to allow transfer of funds for this purpose; 2. Conduct a procurement process in respect of a contract for the supply of suicide bereavement support. The proposed contract shall continue for an initial period of three years and include options to extend its term for two further periods of up to two years on each of its third and fifth anniversaries (i.e. 3+2+2 years); 3. Award the above contract to the preferred tenderer; 4. Determine whether to exercise the option to extend the term of the above contract for a further period of not more than two years on the expiry of the initial three-year term; and 5. Determine whether to exercise the option to extend the term of the above contract again for a further period of not more than two years on its fifth anniversary.
