Purpose: Report seeking Cabinet’s endorsement of the approach and publication of the tenders.

Content: DECISION:   Recommendations: 1.  That the publication of the two tenders set out below, be approved and that authority be delegated to the Strategic Director for Safe and Caring Communities, in consultation with the Leader and the Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health Partnerships, to award and enter into the Framework Agreements with the successful bidders a) Care Homes Development Framework b) Care Homes Care Services Framework 2.  That the recommended approach to ‘Provider A’, as set out in Exempt Appendix 2 to the report, be approved. 3.  That the Business Case for the Care Home Purchasing be approved and that authority be delegated to the Strategic Director for Safe and Caring Communities, in consultation with the Leader and the Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health Partnerships, to proceed with publishing the tender and awarding subsequent contracts, subject to the Council’s required governance processes.     Reason for the Decision:    As contained within the report.   Alternative options considered:   None other than contained within the report.   Conflicts of interest declared:   None.   Dispensations granted in respect of a conflict of interest:   N/A
