Purpose: To approve the procurement strategy and award of a concession contract for up to 20 years for a bus shelter supply, advertising and maintenance contract  

Content: Cllr Roger Whyborn sought approvel for the procurement strategy and award of a concession contract for up to 20 years for a bus shelter supply, advertising and maintenance contract.   Having considered all of the information, Cabinet noted the report and RESOLVED to:     Delegate authority to the Executive Director for Economy, Environment and Infrastructure, in consultation with Cabinet Member for Sustainable Transport and Road Safety to: 1. Conduct a competitive procurement process in respect of a concession contract for: the supply, installation and maintenance of 229 new and replacement advertising enabled bus shelters and 15 free-standing units (FSUs). the cleaning and maintenance of 229 advertising enabled bus shelters and 15 FSUs.   The proposed concession contract shall continue for a period of 20 years and include a break option on its 10th and its 15th anniversary. 1.              Award the above concession contract to the preferred tenderer. 2.              Exercise either of the above contract break options at the relevant time provided it is appropriate to do so.
