Purpose: Report on the development of a new commissioning/contracting approach to award of long-term residential care contracts for working age adults.

Content: DECISION:   RESOLVED:   1.  That approval be given for the Invitation to Tender for Specialist Residential Provision for Working Age Adults to be published in line with the Outline Business Case. 2.  That authority be delegated to the Strategic Director for Safe and Caring Communities, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care and Health Partnerships, to award and enter into the contracts with the successful bidders.     Reason for the Decision:    As contained within the report.   Alternative options considered:   None other than contained within the report.   Conflicts of interest declared:   None.   Dispensations granted in respect of a conflict of interest:   N/A
