Purpose:

Content: It was moved by Councillor Mustoe, seconded by Councillor Ball and   RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND TO CABINET:   1.  That Cabinet receives a lessons learned briefing note on the in-house provision of children’s homes and that it is shared with the Committee. 2.  That Cabinet receives a lessons learned briefing note on the BEPS 2 contract and the current review and that it is shared with the Committee. 3.  That Cabinet receives a lessons learned briefing note on the Mears Contract including any financial penalties and that it is shared with the Committee. 4.  That Cabinet includes a line on SEN provision around the importance of continuing to communicate with SEN families throughout the SEN journey, including before and after any decisions that are made, to keep them aware of the support that is available during the process. 5.  That Cabinet reviews its approach to Financial Principle Number 4 (maximising commercial opportunities and ensuring services reflect their true cost). 6.  That the introduction is strengthened with more specific reference to the National Minority Status of the Cornish and that the language in the document in that regard is also reviewed. 7.  That Cabinet reviews the points raised during the Committee’s discussion on the Priorities as set out in the minutes.
