Purpose: This report sets out the work that we will do over next five years to deliver our proposed housing pipeline and regeneration programme.
Content: Cabinet agreed to: i) Accept NECA grants for the first phase of the delivery plan; ii) Note the upcoming bids to Homes England, which will be the subject of a future Cabinet decision; iii) Approve a variation to an existing contract between the Council and New Tyne West Development Company LLP (NTWDC) as the route to develop the Walker masterplan; and iv) Delegate authority to the Director of Housing and Communities, in consultation with the portfolio holder and the Assistant Director of Legal Services to finalise details of the contract variation with NTWDC ensuring compliance with subsidy control and procurement law requirements.
