Purpose:

Content: RESOLVED: Cabinet; ·       Supported the new service delivery model and proposed service specifications for the 0-19 Health Visiting and School Nursing Service from 1st April 2025. ·       Approved the start of a six-week public consultation commencing on 30th September 2024 on the proposed new service model, partnership agreement and changes to the service specifications.   REASONS RESOLVED: 1.     The 0-19 HCP service is a local authority mandatory service that supports the improvements of health and wellbeing outcomes of children and young people and families. 2.     To comply with national legislation and the policy of the council. 3.     The recommended course of action is the most cost-effective and will enable WNC to integrate the 0-19 service with children services under the children’s services directorate.   ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS: WNC and NHFT have developed a new service model, and NHFT considers the new model to be affordable within the financial envelope.
