Is Callable In?: No
Date of Decision: December 3, 2024
Purpose: The report sets out the Council’s initial response to the Regulator of Social Housing’s judgement report and consumer grading of C4. This is the lowest grading and reflects the Regulator’s finding that there are very serious failings in how we deliver the outcomes of the newly introduced consumer standards. As a result, the Council will be required to work intensively with the Regulator to improve our performance
Content: Decision For the reasons set out in the report and its appendices Cabinet RESOLVED to Agree to: i) Note the report and grading published by the Regulator of Social Housing and attached at Appendix 1; ii) Note the Council’s response to the Regulator of Social Housing’s report and grading as set out in this report; and iii) Note the Council’s draft programme of works in response to the Regulator of Social Housing’s report and grading. iv) Agree the appointments to the roles of Health and Safety Lead, the Responsible Person, the Member Responsible for Complaints and the Complaints Handling Lead as set out in Appendix 3. Alternatives Considered a) Do nothing: given the C4 rating, it is not possible for the Council to do nothing.
