This meeting of the Little Marlow Sewage Treatment Works Liaison Committee was scheduled to include updates from Thames Water and the Environment Agency, and to allow questions from committee members and the public.
Environment Agency Update
The Environment Agency update included for discussion covered two sewage discharges from the Little Marlow Sewage Treatment Works.
The first was on 9 February 2024, which
has been assessed using the Common Incident Classification Scheme (CICS) and has been assessed as a Category 3 for impact to water and land.

No update was scheduled to be given beyond the information that had already been shared with the committee in March 2024.
The second discharge occurred in September 2024 and lasted for ten hours. The Environment Agency report explains that
Discharges are permitted under certain circumstances, following rain

but that they have not yet assessed this discharge to see whether it was legal. The committee was scheduled to hear that the Environment Agency
will use our Enforcement and Prosecution Policy to guide what action we take where we identify illegal discharges have taken place

Thames Water Investment
The committee was scheduled to receive a verbal update from Thames Water on their investments at the Little Marlow Sewage Treatment Works.
